CITY GUIDE

5 CPH spots with Marie Hindkær

Being a tourist in Copenhagen can like every other major city be a labyrinth in terms of balancing classic tourist attractions and the more special places.

We went out for a tour of Copenhagen with the beautiful Marie Hindkær from Blame It On Fashion - and here are some of the best spots when visiting the capital of Denmark!

Enjoy!

SPOT 1

THE UNION KITCHEN

Beginning your CPH tour with breakfast at the Union Kitchen is not the worst way to start your day.

Try their homemade lemonade - it changes from day to day. We were lucky enough to get one with rasberrys and it tasted just as good as it looked.

The Union Kithcen is always serving toasted rye bread with a lot of deliciousness on top. And as a true Dane - rye bread is crucial!

SPOT 2

MARIO TESTINO EXHIBITION

If you are lucky enough to be in Copenhagen before the 18th of September (and the weather is bad) you should definately go and see the Mario Testino Exhibition at Kunstforeningen Gl. Strand!

Mario Testino has since the beginning of his career gone against the tide. 'No Limits' offers a glimpse into images that constantly challenges the existing and sometimes rigid definitions within the specific genre.

SPOT 3

ICE CREAM at HANSENS IS

At Store Kongensgade 93, you'll find the cutest little ice cream shop providing only the best flavours and toppings for a hot day in the city.

The shop is open from 10-18, so it is possible to stop by most of the day - perhaps more than once!

And if you're not into ice cream, you can always get a croissant or other delicious pastries.

SPOT 4

THE GUBI STORE

Step into a an international design arena at GUBI store on Møntergade 19!

Here you will find lots of interior inspiration, and depending on how much luggage space you have left, you'll definately find an original piece or two inspired from the 30's to the 70's.

If you already spent all your money on ice cream - just go for the inspiration anyway.

SPOT 5

THE KAYAK BAR

This 5th hot spot of CPH not only gives you the possibility to rent a Kayak and go exploring the many canals of the capital, it also provides lots of drinks and food when you are done.

Here you'll meet a lot of locals enjoying after-work-cocktails, taking a swim or just enjoying the sand between their feet and the swaying palmtrees.

Kayak Bar is also hosting a lot of events - so check out their program and spend a day or evening at this oasis in the city.
