Shini Park / Park & Cube
Inspiring women makes us excited. When we got the chance to meet with fashion blogger Shini Park from Park & Cube we couldn’t resist asking her a few questions. Come along when we talk style, inspiration, and how she became a blogger.
HOW DID YOU BECOME A FASHION BLOGGER?
"Technically, I suppose I had always been a blogger since I was very young – I loved being online, whether it was MySpace, LiveJournal, or my own websites that I loved making. But in 2008, I was in my second year of Uni and it was also around the time when shoes became the new boys.
I was in a new, exciting city and everything inspired me – and at that time it was fashion. That’s how I became a fashion blogger, I started writing about DIY fashion and sharing my own tutorials."

YOU NOW CALL LONDON YOUR HOME WHAT DO YOU LIKE MOST ABOUT THIS CITY?
"Living in London inspires me.
The creative industry is so full of young talent and passion, as well as the strong British heritage that exists in certain parts of the city. Together, that makes up the essence of London, which is pure inspiration for me.
One of the things I love most about London is that you can turn a corner and find yourself in a completely different atmosphere. It’s a large city made up of different communities and cultures; Londoners inspire me, as well as the strong British tradition embedded in the architecture."
WHAT ARE YOU PASSIONATE ABOUT?
"I am passionate about… food! Mostly burritos and pizza, and I wouldn’t say no to Sushi either.
As I work mostly online, I’m finding passion in seeing different ways of expressing stories in the digital space. Working as a Webdesigner and photographer, I love exploring different ways of communicating ideas, pushing boundaries of online interaction. Fashion blogging is not only a story about your lifestyle or what you love to wear – but I believe that it should also be a medium where you have conversations with your audience, and build your brand."

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE X JEWELLERY IN COMPARISON TO YOUR FASHION STYLE?
"I believe the essence of X Jewellery suits my style perfectly as I’m all about using unique individual pieces and making one seamless look.
Going back to the whole DIY idea, I love the fact that you can put together links and really make it your own. My style is heavily influenced by classic silhouettes and masculine tailoring, with a hint of femininity or pop of colour. X Jewellery is the perfect embodiment of the above."
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PERSONALIZED X JEWELLERY BRACELETS?
"One of my favourite personalized X Jewellery bracelets is the one called The Streets of London, it reminds me of Covent Garden! The cobblestones, architecture, bronze detailing in the streets… the bracelet is a perfect embodiment. I mixed two metals: bronze and oxidized silver, which creates a harmony of textures and looks very elegant when worn.
My second favourite, Black Bond, is composed of the basic black rubber X and bronze, which pairs up into a very luxurious harmony. The bronze Lover’s Bond has a twist in the chain that adds a beautiful texture to the bracelet."
